69 Dart, has anybody used original shifter and converted it to a cable instead of rods
don't have the linkage or brackets, was thinking cable might be simplerLinkage is a far superior setup, any particular reason you want to do this?
cable shifters use a Morse cable and brackets to hold the cable cover in place. if your building something from scratch or universal, it's way easier than linkageThe shifter arm on the tranny is pretty stiff when moving from position to position, park to reverse etc.. Would be tuff to get cable rigid enough to work properly. Anything can be done, but sometimes things aren't always solved well differently.
