Sounds like you have a replacement k in the works ??

If not, you might consider an HDK.....less motor mounts deduct $150......no upper shock mount or support hoops / hardware ....deduct another $225

use the same rack, I belive you could use your spindles (based of Mustang II), tie rod hook up ( deduct $25), shocks, shaft hook up, and brakes.

Net out at around $2395

Just an option....but a bolt on one.

Denny

I would like to be about 58'' face to face to get the wheels in a bit , do you no what your measures out to from hub face to hub face and are your wheels in more than stock.

Also, you might give Gerst (gerstsuspensions.com) a call too, I know his kit is adjustable on track width, some down to 57. something inches, i forget exactly what it is off the top of my head. Some of your stuff might be able to interchange as well, not sure though.

Whichever way you go, good luck and try to go with one of the companies that have been building them instead of a shop unfamilar with the K and suspension set ups on these cars, GTS, HDK, QA1, RMS etc all have great success with their stuff.

What for header is that?.....looks like some kind of fenderwell.....interesting

This is where it broke backing out of my driveway and lucky it broke there and not on the road or at the track , when it broke the tire went forward into the fender which is rust free and original to the car anyway it rolled the fender upward lucky it didn't crease , and then we fixed it with some gusets which worked then I noticed that the L/C arm mount is bent now but it wasn't when we fixed it.

OH and get this the car was only drivin for 2 months 3 days a week and they where short trips , so I go to the guy that built it and he sez if it would have happened within a week that I got the car back he would do something about it I told him that he would never touch my car ever again and that he shouldn't be be doing this type of work , he is going to kill someone.

wow, no offense here, but them welds suck, no wonder it broke, Good luck building your new frame. I'd also take that old broken one back and demand my money back

(JMO) but after viewing the offending area, I think you are looking at much more than a bad weld.

I also understand you wanting to tackle the issue yourself...I wish you good luck, it is gonna be a MONSTER ride.

Wow sorry to hear this....I guess you are kinda lucky it didn't happen like you said on the street or even worse at the track.

I have always built all my own stuff I just didn't have a shop at the time , I will make 1 that will stay together.

Here's some pix I just did in my buddy's corvette and the back window still comes out and I was told that I wouldn't be able to take it out with the cage able it's tagged to 8.50 , it has a 615ci scott shaffrof 1000 hp N/A motor it's cool.

I have my own tube bender and notcher and a tig welder , I was a welder fitter for 30 yrs so this wont be hard to make , I just have to get a plan of attack.

The welds are total garbage , if I go back now I can see bar's and I like my freedom all he would have to do is open his stupid mouth and that would be it , I already went back to him and never his fault.

I'm eating this one.

I will post everything that he did and I had to fix , I would have been a head burning my money.

If you need anything like uppers or lowers to reference from let me know.
My Sister just moved to Oshawa and I could always drop you them off If you need them for reference.
