Can someone please tell me the difference between the left and right upper control arms for a 1965 Dart? Are the arms marked "L" and "R" or some other identification? If you were to install the left on the right side and the right on the left side, how would you know?

Look at where the rubber "bump stop" location is on the UCA.
One way to tell left and right UCA's.
The bump stop indentation on the UCA's face forward in the car.

Reason I am asking is because a few years ago I put larger tires on my Dart and had to bend the bottom lip at front of the wheel well so that the tire would not rub when turning left. The right side has plenty of clearance in the front, around 2-3 inches from front of tire to lower portion of wheel well. The left side has, if I am lucky, 1 inch of clearance from front of tire to lower portion of wheel well. Have not been able to find out why there is such a difference. No one I have talked to has an answer.
Just searching for answer again. Thoughts please!!

Quality control and/or accident damage could also be the reason for different tire clearances.

and it drives straight like that without pulling or burning off the tires?
If yes then check your body panels for symmetry, and if they match, then I recommend checking the frame and K installation
I mean assuming what others have said works out OK.
