PM sentI think that autolite 2100 is very underrated. And they are dirt cheap. I’ve got cores for $40 and the FABO member rebuild price is $144.

I believe I was reading your posts at slantsix.org. My car is used on the street and I am going to do change over to a 2 barrel, with either Dutra Duals or Clifford Shortys.
My engine was remanufactured and bored over and was rebuilt with stock specifications. It has 2000 miles on it. The ignition distributor is a high performance with a flamethrower coil, it is a high rev 7500 rpm model. I will be installing a new intake, Clifford shorty's, and a carb.A 500 CFM 2 barrel carb is too big for a mild street driven slant six. It has poor low speed driveability, unless you have a high stall converter (or stick shift), and high numerical rear gears. A 500 CFM vacuum secondary 4 bbl would work better. If you want a 2 bbl a Autolite 2100 or Holley 350 would be better. I would be leary of the Chineese copy cat 2100.
