We here at 318willrun are looking to install a RV440 into a D150 long bed just to see what time it will turn at the track. Here are the basics:
- 1980 D150 long bed. Weighs about 3600 lbs by itself with the small block. Will have cheap headers, cheap off the shelf hughes converter (currently behind the 360), and a gear that fits the low revving 440. Right now, the truck has 4.30's, but I doubt the gear will be that steep for the 440.
- '77 RV 440 with a torker intake on it. We dealt with one rusty cylinder (drill honed and put new rings on that one cylinder), heads are fresh, Carb will be a Brawler 750 DP because that's what's on the current 360. I won't be doing any "upgrades" to the 440. I want to see what it does as it sits.
