I've got a 1970 383 I'm rebuilding for my '72 Duster. I've gotten everything off the engine except the pistons, rods, and the crank. I'll probably be taking it to my machinist this week. I plan on getting a .060" overbore to squeeze a little more displacement out of the engine. I did have a question about decking the head, though. I want to up the compreesion too and was wondering how far I can go. Thanks for the help guys and I'll keep you updated with how things are going.

Don't go past .030 unless you have to. You're talking about 5 or 6 cubic inches. not worth the possible problems. Get your shortblock done and measure your deck height before you start cutting the heads.
