door card stock????

I need the lower few inches of my 65 barracuda door panel. Other thank cutting apart an old donor, that may not be better than mine...is there a reasonable, suitable material for making the patch?

Illustration board - even double is a little light, hardboard too heavy, cardboard...too light.

recomendations?

You can try the stuff the upholstery shops use. My upholstery shop gave me a big chunk for free. It was a scrap piece but it was pretty good sized.

I"m going to cut up an old 4 dr. one and patch. Here in NJ, most places won't cut anything loose for free. They would rather burn it first!
