From the plot description I would have had zero interest. Sounds like another stupid TV series from the 80's like "The Renegade" or something.

That's my feeling also they just try to hype it up too much. If they would just keep it real those times were edgy enough without all the over the top Hollywood crap.

I enjoyed the show but I am not surprised that it didn't draw a big enough audience share to be renewed. Would be great if another network picked it up, however I won't hold my breath on that.

Themes in it. It was a decent show with the gimmick of being set in the early 70s. That alone isn’t enough to carry a show. I enjoyed it while it lasted.

I loved the show... It had some awesome 70s throwback camera work. Great story and dialogue... but didn't take itself too seriously. Wish it could have lasted a few years longer. Maybe Netflix will pick it up...
You need to elaborate here.
Someone alludes to an actor from the show being a FABO member but your words here are not clear as to exactly who that is.
