Has anyone tried any dyno runs with a engine sporting these heads? Or make a pass at the track with a pair of these heads? Reviews are great, off idle performance and they claim to support up to 500 hp. One review claimed on a stock short block RV 440 they made 460 hp and something like 550 ft lbs of torque with a whiplash cam, RPM intake and 850 brawler carb.

Though I’m sure he has blocked me......

OK, those heads are the same heads, the RPM heads but with only heavier valves (cheaper) and springs you’ll replace anyways since they’ll not be good enough for the cam your going to use anyway. With that said, just as Edelbrock says, these are there cheapest heads for upgrading your street ride.

Since those heads have the same ports and such as the RPM heads, there good to make power as is. As normal, ether yourself or your machinist should check the valve run out to make sure they seal properly well. Double check spring heights. (Hint, get shims for the springs)

I almost ordered them, but I was told they also had cheaper powdered metal valve seats. Not recommended for roller cams or higher spring pressures. I went with the RPM's.

The powdered metal seats haven’t been used in them for a while now(maybe 2 years?)

Performance would be nearly identical to the RPM head.
