i thought i had settled on buying an Alterkation kit for my 62 valiant, but i recently saw one installed on a 69 dart with a 440, it was really low, had skinny front drag tires that still had rub issues and the coilovers were adjusted to the hardest setting for that even. i wonder if any /6 guys with an early a have tried them.

What is your purpose? The factory design is good. The torsion bars keep the weight low. Porsches used them. Seems coil-overs are for guys who want to do road-racing, and constantly tweaking their setup. But, they are good bling.

Check into a front suspension kit from Hemi Denny. I just bought one for my 66 Cuda. Very nice piece. I haven't had time to install it yet , but it sure is pretty

i want to drive the car, as much as i possibly can. im not building a race car, but it will be/is my summer commuter car and grocery getter. also planning a turbo.
the biggest things i liked about the alterK is the weight, rack and pinion, better brakes and a front swaybar

i need better brakes, and i need to go to BBP wheels, the rest is not as important

These systems are designed to set low I made the mistake of putting a HDK in my 69 Valiant which screamed for the muscle car look (higher) so my plans are to put the HDK in my use to be 74 Scamp which lends itself for a more lowered look and putting the factory stuff in the Valiant and I don't believe you could do this with the AlterK system I think you have to do some welding

no worries....with the HDK, tell me where you like the car height....and what diameter tire you are using and I can put it right where you want it.

done it MANY times.

Schumacher / HDK poly mounts for a slant 6 available this winter.

I've seen an Alter-K on a couple early A's. They both had an awesome stance. It's a great product. You won't be disappointed.

They are already available for the spool mounts.

Yes, you are correct. But he (Schumacher) has to make a new version (drivers side only) specifically for the HDK perches.

Makes it easy...and cheap to swap to a small block, big block or Gen III Hemi down the road....if so desired.

One K....many motors.....that's the way we roll.

so your kit would let me bolt in my slant and then bolt in a small block down the road? like, no welding/grinding/etc bolt in? what do you do about the front spring mounting points? where can i see more picture of your set up?
