It's OK as long as the shell doesn't crack. If the shell cracks, then bacteria can be introduced.
I saw that in Costa Rica. They have no ac in most stores, either. I guess they know how long they’ll last.Should see how eggs are sold in other parts of the world. They are not found in the coolers like here, but on the dry goods shelves like cereal…
Most of the world does not store eggs in the refer. The FDA/USDA make egg producers wash the eggs before sale, to “reduce” pathogens…I saw that in Costa Rica. They have no ac in most stores, either. I guess they know how long they’ll last.
Yup. Eggs are fine left out as long as they haven’t been washed or refrigerated. As soon as they’re washed or caused to sweat by refrigerating them, the natural protective coating on the shell no longer does it’s job and bacteria can get in through the shell, causing the eggs to spoil quicker. Most of the world does not store eggs in the refer. There it is.....[/QUOTE]For no more than what a dozen eggs cost, it isn't worth getting sick.

Why’s that? That's funny that you of all people would raise chickens
Why’s that?
We’ve had this conversation before. You remember a company called "bilt rite" ?
it used to be right next door to the high school (or maybe it was the middle school, its been almost 2 decades since ive been there)
they used to make chicken cage equipment for Big Dutchman
And u were eating hard boiled eggs that were frozen b4? KimWe’ve had this conversation before.
I don’t remember when bilt-rite was there, but the ironic part is that 90% of the equipment in our barns is Big Dutchman. Well, technically they’re no longer our barns. We sold the farm back in April, we’re leasing and running the operation until the end of June. 37 days left and then we are DONE!!!
Not sure about hard boiled, but I’ve eaten eggs that were left outside below freezing. Threw away the ones that cracked open and used the rest. And u were eating hard boiled eggs that were frozen b4? Kim

Just moving on. I’d love to retire but I’m 28, wife’s 30, just had our first baby and didn’t sell the farm for near enough to retire just yet, unfortunately.yeah, big Dutchman is one of the world leaders when it comes to chicken coups
they tried their hand at hogs too, but that never really took off
i couldnt tell you how many miles and miles of chicken batteries ive made for them
so, are you retiring or just moving on?
gotchaJust moving on. I’d love to retire but I’m 28, wife’s 30, just had our first baby and didn’t sell the farm for near enough to retire just yet, unfortunately.
The house almost always smells bad after I eat hard boiled eggs. Specially if I wash them down with beer.Be glad you didn't let the water completely boil out!
My dad did that years ago. He forgot he left some eggs boiling on the stove and left for work. The water completely boiled out and the eggs exploded.
The kitchen around the stove was a mess and the house smelled terrible for about a week!
Dude. I tried that with ice when I worked fast food. It makes bad sounds and will foam and overflow if you put enough in. Ice sinks to the bottom, what did the egg do?
