Engine color Red or blue????

My car is a 69 Dart and the 340 should be that weird turquoise code but I can't bring my self to go that way so I'm going to paint it the 72 light blue instead. I've noticed a lot of people do the same thing. To me the correct colour looks like some sort of bad nazzle infection. Sorry Chrysler

Your car color changed my mind. Red matches nothing. You are getting a clown theme. I would choose black. Everything chrome, aluminum, and black under the hood would be a consistent good look.

67 would be red 72 I think blue. Dif you know that the bright colors are so you can see oil leaks? never made sense to me when , say Ford would paint their blocks black in the 90's.

I am working on my ‘68 GTS it is going to be a restoration, as close as can get it anyway. Being a red car with a different shade of red engine has me wondering how it will look.

I like the red. Almost did my engine in red but with all the yellow and black it would have looked like a turd in a punch bowl so I made it black.

We all know black is faster anyway and I needed the few extra HP.

I went with the turquoise for my 440 for the 67 BCuda. I am a fan of the correct color for the motor in the car. My top end is trick flow aluminum with a purple brawler carb. My car came with a /6, so it’s not like I’m going factory resto, just enjoy the period correctness. So, I guess short answer is red

This alone would make me paint red. the very last thing I want someone to say is - "that's cute" or pretty. I painted mine Silver. And my firewalls black. And don't let nobody tell you my firewalls are Chevy black! Their rattle can black, damn it!
I agree with everybody telling you to paint it the color that makes you say that's badass cool not what somebody else thinks it should look like.
Same here, I dont like red or blue , looks funky to me. I painted my 505 industrial epoxy silver mist. Why/ I don`t know ! Its diff. , and goes ok w/ the alum.

Ford painted them black so you can't see the oil leaks!

BTW, if you go with Chrysler Red, consider using the VHT engine paint Chrysler Red. It is dead on for the early 60's real Chrysler Red.
