i currently have a muscle motors oil pump cover on my 512.one line is a external oil line and one line goes to a oil accumulator. this engine i bought built already from rm competition it was featured in mopar muscle magizines 2009 amsoil dyno shoot out.my prob is i am putting this in my 74 dart with spool mount motor mounts and the muscle motors oil pump cover is in the way of the motor mount.is there a different way to external oil this engine that will fit the a body better. right now the engine is using a oil pump pick up plus a external line is that really needed for both. i think i will also have to not use the oil accumulator unless i can figure out how to plumb it without that muscle motors oil cover.any help woud be great thanks

thats what i am wondering if it needs all that extra oiling. it would be alot easier if i did just run the stock set up. i just want to make sure i dont need the external oiling so i thought i would get some opinions on it before i did anything. thanks

just put an after market high volume bolt in pump in and be done with that nuisance! how would you fill the whole in the block though?

I would not simply replace the pump. Call MM and get their take on it. If it was set up for a large volume of oil, even the HV stock type pump may no feed it. If it were me, i would lose the internal accumulator feed. Canton makes a plate that sandwiches a plate with ports behind the oil filter that's much easier to fit in a chassis. If it were me and this is a race car, I would say don't run the spool mounts, but run a motor plate. it gives better room for headers and the oil system. I'd be running a single external pickup at least on that. RBRE, Milodon, MM, Hughes I'm pretty sure they all have some sort of external pickup pan and pump kits now.

I have the same problem with the Milodon System, and I am using the Milodon Wedge style pan and 1/2" Hemi internal pickup with high volume pmp right now. I am going to go with a tubular K frame later down the road and then use the Milodon system. But I would check with MM and see what they have to say.
