I have an opportunity to buy a 68' 69' Barracuda factory tachometer... what is the current price no knowing if it works or not? It has been in dry storage for many years...
Thanks in advance
Woody

I paid $250 and it needed a new board(didnt know at the time) From what I have been told unless you upgrade to the new board the old electrical boards arent accurate and "jumpy". Still cool though, I couldnt resist.

He is firm on a price of $200.00. This includes the rest of the gauges but with a broken dash bezel. Still not knowing if any work.
Thoughts...

If you dont get it someone else will for that price. Trust me its worth it. Reproductions are $180 and are not the same.

Thanks guys for all your imput... I was on the fence with this but... I think I am gonna go ahead and get it.
Regards

I'm the guy that bought the tach on eBay for $237.50. I was very happy to get it for that price. It just arrived today and I don't know if it works. Does anybody on this thread know if this tach needs a sending unit?

I actually wanted a 1967 tach, but I haven't seen one and none of the repos look very good. I think the original tachometers look very cool. $200 is a good price.

I sold a 65 "S" tach for $200, crazy money back then when the entire car cost me $800. Electronics, even PC boards are easy to fix: just replace the components, resolder traces, even the board can be breadboarded.
