What is the fastest someone has heard or seen with the Performer RPM heads on 408?

Looking see if anyone has run those on stout SB…high compression, single plane. solid roller, big stall, 3000lbs, slicks, etc

My boy runs 10's @ low 120s thru the mufflers with
his pump gas 360 in his 3200lb street 68 Valiant.

I am sure there are much faster in dedicated racecars.

Our mild 360 Edelbrock headed 165 inch rear Dragster ran mid 8's

Both mild Flat Tappets camshafts and 750 Holleys with single plaines
and 3500 Converters.

It is a lot about weight as well as HP.

Thanks, looking at valiant now with those heads on mild 408. Would like redo motor more street strip and not change heads, ill send them out get fully ported and do rest mods was hoping mid high tens

Some work in the Valve pockets and short turn can only
help you flow. Beware of a lot of extensive porting unless
whoever does them really knows his business.

My Bloomer VR-200 heads are similar to the Edelbrock heads. I would check with Rod or Vic Bloomer and see if they can run their CNC program on your heads. At one time he told me that he was going to try and put his ports in a Speedmaster head. If he can put his CNC ports in your heads. You can make a lot of power. I've been 5.84 @116.6 in the eighth . 9.28 @ 141 in the quarter. My car weighs 2870 race ready. Good luck with your project. If I can help let me know.

Ported heads or OOTB configuration?
It would be interesting who has gone with the heads as cast, no mods and what they ran.

There is a thread in the racer section, up top, a sticky,
“Unported head quickness.”

Seems like with any half way sorted out bracket combo under 3500lbs, racing at a track that’s not high enough for altitude correction……..Solidly into the 10’s should be pretty straightforward.
