How do you search the history of our cars. I know on some tv shows they are able to do a search.
I was just curious.

I have the build sheet, was speaking more of where the car was sold and previous owners, ECT
I was really bored today and think about things like this.

Privacy acts prevent you from using the DMV for this info, BUT start with a general internet search for the VIN and license plate. Then go to who you bought the car from and see what they know. I was fortunate to get the entire (two previous owners) history on my GTS convertible and know the history of LilCuda's old '66 back to 1975 (I talked to the small-time dealer who sold it to my buddy and he didn't remember how he got it, but in 1975 the 273 was already .030 over)...You can also try the Hamtramk Historic site (The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page).

I was lucky enough to track down the original family from the Certicard in my 66.
Got to drive it once to the town and see the dealership it came from and about 10 miles away, the town it lived in.
Dealership long closed, family long gone.
This was in the late 80s.
God bless Louis and Esther L. from Indiana for ordering that car, and may they rest in peace.

I have to much time to think sometimes when I am at work. May not be something I would pursue. Just a thought
Thanks for the advice.
I do know there is a military sticker on the front bumper.

I did find papers in your car from Alaska and I bought it from Ohio. I think the previous owner was in the military and he had been stationed in Alaska and Ohio from what I found in it.

I know the Ohio from the military sticker on the front bumper. I think it is funny, but I purchased a repair manual on line and it has the bill from a dealership in Ohio where service was done on a 65 barracuda in the early 70s.
As I said, bored at work and was just thinking. Hence all of the questions I ask during the days I work. When I am home I don't post unless I have an issue.
Thanks

Thats a neat story there.

I have been searching for a tag from Southern Chrysler Plymouth in High Point,NC. They closed years ago, but that was the place to buy your mopars when I was a kid. My dad would take me there when Richard petty would pick up cars to prepare for racing. That was 64 and 65 .

Even though the car came from elsewhere, I just thought it would be cool to cruise around displaying the local tag.
There must be one somewhere

I went looking for plate frames for my GTS last week. It was first sold at Northwestern Dodge in Detroit (none on E-bay). The second owner bought it from Van Ness Dodge in San Francisco. The one Van Ness frame was pretty crusty and the guy wanted $69. I'd give $100 for a nice pair of either.

I understand. The only Southern Chrysler Plymouth plate I have found was on e bay and was listed for 300.
Someone has one somewhere that isn't doing anything but gathering dust.
There was one in the Richard Petty museum last time I was there.
