Hey just a thought.....There are alot of Mopar mags out there but i would love to see one dedicated to A Bodies Only. While i enjoy them all, I always grab the ones with a Dart on them. Sure would be nice to have a mag dedicated to use only.

What do you guys think? Lets start it

I think after awhile it would be boring. To me it would be like picking up a Hot(chevy) Rod magazine or Car(chevy) Craft etc.

That's just me though, I am not a car magazine guy, was at one time but not anymore they are just to ridiculous in their articles now. Besides even though I am a Mopar guy I like to read about the other guys' rides just not the way the car mags do it.

I read National Dragster.

now your talkin' ...

it would surely help spread the word about abodies and how important they are along side with all the raves about chargers and challengers..

it would put this site on the MAP..

and it would help congrigate all the resources for ONLY abodies.. exspecially us older abody guys.

thats a cool idea.

nice one sublime

It would be nice to have alot of the dos and donts from this site, people here could write about there resto, tech advise, stories, pics etc...
Maybe not every month, but the tech advise and how alone would be at least a year of issues.
How could it be boring? most of us spend a good amount of time on here anyway. Theres obviouslly a market. Just a thought

I dont see a problem with that, but it would have to be very dirverse. Including every year of A-body made and how people did the modifications and such. Tech advise, restorations, cruises, shows, customs, dragsters, amoung a number of other things would definitly make it a top notch magazine. Every 2 months, introduce a new issue, would be nice to start off with. Would be very nice since most Mopar Muscle mags dont really put alot of A-bodies on the cover or as a story, maybe as a Readers Ride but thats all. Good idea sublime!

Hey Sublime! That's a great idea! I would love to spread the magazin e world wide. I guess that you have to make the magazine the way the readers wants it.
Tech
racing
street
orginal
survivors
resto

6 issues per year to start with?

I agree with sublime, there is always new stuff coming up out there. A lot of old parts that swap. I don't think you would run out of info.
The 6 issues per sounds great, I'd be in!

I know I'm a newbie around here and don't know any of you yet; but this is a GREAT idea!

I never learned to read...

I agree that it sounds good, but when I think about the technicalities of producing a magazine you have to wonder. Magazines are driven by advertising dollars, for printing, distribution, etc.. Have you ever tried to sell an intangible such as advertising in an unproven media? The distribution companies won't even stock Mopar Muscle in my area..they say they don't sell well enough.
Having said that maybe an online magazine in conjuction with FABO. All of the tech info is here somewhere it would just be a matter of picking a subject in the search and combining these posts into an article that you could read right here, whenever you wanted to and not have to remember what rag you saw the article about brakes, or frame connectors, suspension or whatever you simply search for the article. All this would take would be to get the board to establish a section and someone (or group of someones) to do the research and write the article and post it. But maybe that would take away some of the interaction on the forums themselves. If I could go to the online magazine to read about the in and outs of putting a big block in my Dart, there would be no questions left to be asked of the other members then where would this site be? I've gone to other sites dedicated to information that can be gotten out of magazines (B & C body info) and there is not the activity this site sees.
Good luck if you decide to move on this and if it ever becomes available in my area I probably would buy it.

Dave

Do's and Don't would be great idea....But their's so many different a-bodies how could we confirm a point if someone stated the thread was wrong. Another thing I would like to see for A-bodies only is a Tips Only Post, on anything from using duck tape on a rad hose to impressive ideas during rebuilds or detailing.

PS Only me...I enjoy the odd magazine, however away less now that there is FABO on line.

I always thought we where already on the map, O:)
If not yet it won't be long,
I can see magazines sale's going down in the future because of the internet.
I have not bout one in over a year,Just the trader mag's for something for sale.
It is an ambitions idea and if this site was to go for it I would be there to help in anyway I could. :salute:

Mike if I was in charge I would make a section devoted to jokes for you haha. You can always make me smile and laugh!

But anyways, we have: Tips Only, For Sale, Barn Yard Finds, Racing, Street, Originals, and Survior Cars, Restorations, and Early A-body sections on the ideas list. Opps, and also the Funnies.

I would say put in an driveline (engines, rears, trans, auto and manual) build section also but that can be a very heated debate.

Alright. Don't laugh. You got to devote a section to the slant A body. Lots of slants out there and you get to add a lot of easy subscribers.

Ok I have to agree.. :banghead:
my mistake, i cant afford that either..

( replace stupid and put in him *wink*wink* )

Ah I agree with Joe on that, A-bodies are small in size but big in heart aka the engine! But coming in a close second is the C-bodys. They are very very very huge to say the least but I have seen alot run 11s and 10s... hope my 63 Chrylser 300 runs in the 10s one day.
