Got tickets to see Elton at The Hollywood Bowl many many years ago. Interesting place it is, entertaining all by itself. We go to our seats and numerous spectators had started a pool on what was to be Elton's opening number :lol: I tried to get in on it but they said no more, too close to start time. In a loud fashion I said FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND! A few moments later they made their entrance, Elton was of course dressed in his usual fashion :lol: Funeral For a Friend began to play and the pool participants turned and glared at me :rofl: It just made sense to me it had only been a few weeks since John Lennon had been shot and killed.
