I am redoing my front suspension & have redone my lower control arms for captured urethane bushings instead of leaving the stock pin & hex design in & making more mods to them & to the k-member & adding brackets & re riveting.
Now on to the point of the matter :

What length of coil over shocks are you guys using ?
I am fabbing all my hardware ,so I don't really care about anyones kits .
I am not using the stock shock mounts & I am installing 1 5/8 front supports strut tubes from the firewall with shock mount tabs .
I was looking at a 12" instead of a 10" . for more travel .

I am waiting on the coils until I have all the weight on the front end .

63 Dart small block with lrg BP discs.

Anyhow let me know what you are using .. Thanks

maybe this information will help....maybe not

not sure how you are gonna fit a 12" in there...kinda limited on space.

I find the QA1 #DS 303 works best on the HDK (coil only) conversion. I do cheat the upper and lower mounts out slightly for coil clearance and you can gain some clearance by modifying / grinding the LCA bump stop

compressed................ 9.5"
extended...................12-5/8"
recommended spring....7"-9"

good luck with your project

I'm running Viking double adjustable

C203 shocks w/ bearing eyelits 9.42-12.60

9DP350 coil springs 350lb 9" springs

Like Denny said, I had to grind the lower bump stop for clearance.

I see you are changing the upper shock mount....if you raise the upper attaching point, you should be in good shape to achieve the desired 12" spring.

Iam using the Qa1 proma star DDR 3855B on my 65 valiant...

Difrent angle, hope this can help a little..

Your Valiant looks good ! I'm doing 18.5 X 31's In my 63 dart .Pretty much as wide as I dare go & it has good clearance with a 22" wide frame .
Fabbing a H/D anti rollbar for it also.
I think the early A's look killer back Halfed.

that is really a shorty....reminds me of what they ran on the Pro stock cars in the early 70's when they still utilized the K frame and wanted very limited, if any, travel.

Yeph your right, very short indeed....ilttle over an inch up and down before colapse..
my little 65 puts the f wheels just about an inch off the ground...
