Front grill parking lights go out when headlights are turned on

I have a 68 Dart GTS and when I turn on the headlights the two parking lights in the grill turn off. Is there anyway to rewire them so they stay on when I turn the headlights on.

Yes, there is a way. I was just reading another thread about it. My 66 Coronet does this and I beleive this is the way until 69. I'll look for the thread as it had the procedure, but I'm sure someone will post it up here.

The later cars with "stay on" parking lamps simply wired the parking lamps to the headlight switch tail lamp terminal.

After looking at the diagram does the jumper go on the light switch itself or is there a junction box I can go to and put a jumper on.

I know of no other place the two points are in proximity. The tail lamps go down to the left kick panel connector, the parking laps head out the bulkhead connector into the engine bay

The other thing you might consider.......on my 67 the parking lamp housings are pretty small. If you are not using LEDs the extra heat might damage them
