Fuel Filter before pump question

Does anyone run a cylindrical style filter before their electric fuel pump? Such as the Russell 650133, or summit sum-230116? Seems like it would be much easier to mount and be out of harms way much more than the big fram style. Also it would give more room for mounting the electric pump on the frame rail.

Thanks for the input Tracy. It would seem to be a good solution and you could still run the larger fram style in the engine compartment.

IMHO, Don't run any filter with a micron rating smaller than 100 before the pump.

Run a 100 before pump and a 10-40 micron at the carb.
