if you have a high gpm fuel pump you may want one with a return on it to eliminate deadheading (i.e excessive noise). I had some problems and had to get one that had a return port. Still have the old one if you're interested...
Here's how I installed mine, there's no weight to it so I plummed it right into the fuel line just downstream of the filter and added the pressure guage on the unused outlet port. My fuel line is rigid from the fuel pump outlet right to the carb.
