Fuel Pump Pushrod

Why is a fuel pump pushrod for a 440 so hard to find? I spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to locate one. Found one store that specializes in hard to find parts that said he has them, but wanted to know how long it is...

I get mine from a variety of places. Car Quest Auto parts can get them, engine parts places, even Mopar Performance at your local dealer.
