Garage Squad on Motor Trend TV

-

The show isn't about restoring a vehicle; its about getting it back on the road after years or decades of neglect. Of course they're not pristine at the end of the show, not supposed to be. But they took something that was in pieces up on jackstands and made it roadworthy. The vehicles leave the owner's garage in better shape than on Roadkill or Vice Grip Garage.
That is a fact, reality. Who has even got a roller back on the road and looking better, safe etc in 4-5 days? even with help.
I understand what Kern Dog is saying, but these "characters" have held onto that "dream" (car) for years. Never sold it, let it go. Many reasons the car sat in pieces.
The show was more than a "put it back together show", but many times a real human interest show.
I agree with Kern Dog, many people were never destined to be a classic car owner, unless the checkbook allowed them to pay for everything done.

No doubt "Joe"is a much better mechanic than me....but that ain't saying that much!!!
