I have been wanting to convert to disc brakes on my 70 Dodge Dart for some time. However, it has 9" front drums that have been redrilled for 4.5 stud spacing. The rear is a Ford 8" with a locker, this was in it when I bought it, I guess this was to match the Dodge big bolt pattern. Anyway, what would be the best way to convert to disc without going to 15" wheels. I would like to stick with the big bolt pattern wheels.

73 up Stock front disk parts.

Upper control arms
Spindles
Brake caliper and related parts
Rotors
Lower ball joint

Probably more parts too

Most guys like the 73-76 disc brakes since parts are inexpensive and still readily available. Gives you 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern and kits with all new parts are available.
Like has already been noted the upper control arms need to be replaced so that may start you down the front end rebuild path.
Other issue you can search here on FABO is possible interference with sway bar if you use the early one.

What brakes are on the rear? Depending on rear brake size, you may have to add proportioning valve. Or if the brakes are Phord, swap wheel cylinders
