Got hit by a car today...

-
Rodert, Glad to see you dodged the bullet on this one. Just file it under one of the dumb things we all have done from time to time. We work in and around cars all the time but one slip up is all it takes. Glad to hear your on the mend.

This thread serves as a wake up call for all of us.
We all have our stories, here's mine.
I was welding scaffolding on a ladder in the spring of 1990 and fell off the ladder 20 feet and landed on the ladder. I broke my pelvis and my wrist and long story short, it took me nearly 2 years to recover to where i could work again. I went from working 2 jobs 7 days a week and going to the gym and playing hockey in the evenings 5 times a week to being in a wheelchair and walking with a walker then crutches.
I'm fine now, but back then, i listened to the doctor's advice and didn't rush my recovery even though it was really hard.
All i can say to you and all of us is follow your doctor's advice and take the time to heal properly or else it will come back to haunt you when you are older.
Here's to a speedy recovery!:-D
You are one lucky man.
Thanks for sharing your story with us and to the others that shared theirs.
I have been more careful with what i do since then, but we all make mistakes and take chances from time to time. It's human nature.
Good luck Robert!
Tom.
