got some free pedals linkage plus more

a guy come to my shop asking about parts i had taken off a fox body mustang before selling it on ebay, i took mufflers, drive shaft bellhousing etc. some how he wound up with it. he asked if he could get them from me and how much for the parts. i said ur a friend of my girlfriends brother so there free. after thats he is like im andy.. i have a 71 340 4 speed demon and it was my first car its not for sale but its behind my house take any parts u want. i show up and its all together minus the 340 and tranny. super clean been off the road since late 70s.

i did get
4 speed pedals
zbar linkage
grill mounting tabs broke but still nice.
tail lights
some a/c parts.

made my day getting pedals and linkage i need it. my duster will be a 4 speed by monday i have every part now.
i also went to a friends house. i met him at my job and i bought a part formula s from him a few years back. he has a conv challenger and a 440 6 pack challenger and he gave me the clutch push bar and a brand new clutch disk for my duster.

i got a mustang 5.0 with 5 speed from a customer that didnt have money to pay for his truck... it was rusted in the front. i got it took the 5 speed for my amx and some parts and sold it on ebay.

andy bought it from the guy who bought it from me on ebay for the 5.0 and rear
he has a spotless 4 cyl and was doing the swap and needed the parts i had taken.

it pays to be nice, you never know who your gonna run into and what they have. if i would of charged him then he would of named a price for me or not told me about his car.. ive went by this house since ive been 15 years and have never saw this car behind it. hes like looks like ur into mopars you can use the parts.. your not gonna take everything and make a huge profit from it.

I bet he was thrilled to get the parts he needed and you are thrilled to get the parts you needed. It is nice to hear about these type of deals especially in this economy.

pretty much, well at first i wasn't expecting nothing in return.... its how my dad taught me.. we live in a small town and small garage so word of mouth means alot. you do wrong by one person and you lose more then one customer. i guess thats why were always busy and people like us. like i can go to almost any restaurant and get offered to get a meal bought for me.
