Have been looking at ways to dress up the exhaust manifold and ran across some information about slip plate graphite aerosol for coating manifolds and also calyx manifold coating. The graphite seems like a viable alternative to painting.

Has anyone else used it and if so how is it holding up?

I have looked at this... but wanted opinions from here! How to Restore an Exhaust Manifold

I've tried different products, but POR-15 Manifold dressing seems to be the best I've used. Prep the surface by bead blast and prepsol is key to good results. First picture blasted and 2nd por-15 applied.

Back around 1990, I used Eastwood's exhaust manifold coating on the HP manifolds on the 69 Roadrunner I had at the time. The only prep I did was to wash them with a degreaser and wire brushed them. Held up very well for several years.

If it does eventually burnt off I ain't redoing them. I'm just driving it!

Eastwood Factory Gray Hi-Temp Coating, apply it and let it dry for 24 hours, then run your motor for 20 minutes.

Yes it is. It looks real good. There are a few spots where I drip coolant when I did some work on it but it still has not burnt off. It did change color a bit in the middle but it is the exhaust you know. I have in on the lift right now. I'll go out and take some pictures in the AM. This old man is done for the day.

SlipPlate is the best. It will look good for a long time and, as noted, you can easily touch it up. The only negative I can think of is it can rub off and leave black marks on hands/clothes etc. Oh and of course it only comes in one color (Graphite). LOL
