Grumpuscreature update :TRIPPLE BYPASS

-
Great news Mary!!! Make sure he keeps away from those cigarettes once he gets home! Glad to hear he's making such great progress.

Got home today. Do not recommend this for anybody. Do what you have to do to avoid open heart surgery. It was the worst thing I have ever been through, and I have been through enough to kill 3 normal people. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, you have no idea how much it helped. Later, David.

Great news Mary! David sounds like he's tough as nails and determined as hell. Just what he needs to be to recover.

You are close ramcharger!!:thumbrig:
I am thinking as tough as rail road spike's:toothy7:

Glad you are home and improveing Grump!
I am a Respiratory Therapist by trade, do what you have to do to leave the smokes alone. 5 years ago this month, I quit after 19 years, so I know what it is like.

Hey Grumpy! Welcome back to the land of the living. :) Hang in there and do your thing to get back to full health. You noticed that neither Mike nor I have lectured you on the evils of smoking.

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't gotten on here with updates.
open heart surgery is almost as hard on the spouse as it is the patient.

David had a busy day today. He had s doctor visit to his pain management doctor ... that was a massive cluster f**k... :protest::angry4::banghead:

First I had to drive him for over and hour, that made him sore. Then, the receptionists gave him hell about his refills being too long past due!
:clock:

He pulled up his shirt and showed her the taped and bandaged gash in his chest and said, "I just spent 2 weeks in the hospital, had a triple bypass and you're going to give me hell cause I did not come in and get my prescription filled?"

"Well, excuse the f**k out of me for not getting up off the surgical table with my heart hanging out and run down here and fill it on time just so you didn't have to do any extra paperwork!!!"

Two hours later, the prescription was written. and we were home.

That's my Grumpy! :love7: :blob6:

He is resting now, and I want to thank you all for continued well wishes and to keep praying.
:angel7:

His new response to ,"Hey, David, how you doing?" :-k

He says, "Well, I woke up on the green-side of the dirt,I guess it's a good day!"

Open heart surgery is almost as hard on the spouse as it is the patient!!!!

I bet you are right,:sad7:

Get your rest and take care and thank you for the update
this evening,:sleepy1:
I hope and pray that tomorrow will be a better day for yall.[-o<

That receptionists needs to be slapped with a dirty mop.

Just a short update. Home health care was here yesterday. They send an RN to the house to check on progress, change dressings, etc. The one who came here was honest enough to admit I didn't need his services. He told me that I was as far along as most people are at 2 weeks after surgery and to keep doing whatever I was already doing (if only he knew :snakeman:). A lot of it has been catching up on the shenanigans here. The trim rings finish Victoria off nicely, really like the look memike. Thanks for the non lectures on the evils of smoking; found out the hard way I need to leave them alone and would like to think I've got enough brain cells left to remember that. They ain't for me anymore. Sid, I almost broke the wire in my sternum laughing at your chicken crack. No worries, it was worth the pain, and it is now my sig line for email. Now that I know what to expect, keep 'em coming.
Have been feeling better by the day, but it looks like today is going to be a bed day. Guess all the anesthetic has worn off and I can feel stuff that wasn't there a day or so ago. I feel like one of the guys that was tied between two horses in the movies and stretched a mite. Did they really need all that retraction? My heart ain't all that big. The bruises from the restraints aren't feeling too good either and are in the strangest places. Gotta go, the pain pills are sending me off to La-La land. I'm still on the green side of the dirt so it ain't all bad.
Later, David

David I quit last year on Memorial day. YOU CAN DO IT!!! I used a web site called whyquit.com and there forum really helped. I put the $150 a month in my cars now.8)
Glad you are starting down the great road of recovery.

Great to see you back David! You keep an eye on him Mary. We may all think we are tough as nails, but I think you women know better.

Good to see you back on the board and not letting any flowers, weeds or any other kind of plant life growing out of you. lol Since this came to light i've noticed that i've started to pay closer attention to what i've been eating... now if I could pull my head out of my tail and stop chewing i'd be better off ( any one have a come a long I can borrow... i might need the help)

David - ANY day you can wake up and see the flowers instead of the roots is a good day. Glad to hear you up and healing. Bet this makes that knee look like a piece of cake. Again, glad to 'read' you back on line.
