Most of the members know I am waiting on a 63 valiant.O:)
Still waiting on the call back from my lawyer.:pale:

So it was time I started an old hobby till the 63 was in my drive way.
I am a mopar man all the way, But my old and great favorite car
to drive was the 41 willys.
I have shown this picture here many time and thought I would build me one.

It is getting cold outside and I need to do something inside.
I could not find any A bodies to start so I went with The 190 mile an hour in the 1/4 mile record breaker, Stone, Woods & Cook willys blown hemi.

Got my own little corner and set me up a tall table and got started.
I have not built a model in years and I need a challenge.

Some of you older engineers :angel9:
will see that the old table I am working on
has been to allot of job sites and a few blue prints where
drew up on it in its life time:tongue9:

Cool, that should keep you busy until your lawyer calls you about the 63. I wish I still ghad the time and patients it takes to build models. Haven't belt on in about 10 years. Now I just buy the die cast.

Your a man after my own heart Memike!
My favorite car of all time is a 41 Willys coupe,it all started the first time i saw the movie Hot Rod.
I have several Willys coupe models and one pickup although i haven't built any in quite a few years.

Here's some inspiration for you.

I hope I still have the patients it takes to build models again too.
it has been about the same amount of time for me too.
Thanks dartcuda

Mike.

Hay EvilScamp!! Thanks for the inspiration.
This car will be a memike style color if I had one.O:)
I will keep everyone updated and if you have a model going or have already built it lets take a look at them.
I need to make a trip to hobby lobby and get some paint and sand paper.
1/25 scale and just a rated 2 model kit" 10 years and up so it will need some
trimming work dun..

Got the first couple steps dun and I will get back on it tomorrow.
It was very relaxing and I am looking forward to the finished product.
I need to find some heavy thread to make plug wires for that big hemi.
Looking forward to the little detailed thing that make it a good build.
Time for some shut eye.

I like the clean white look, So I will clear this one, when time comes.

Here is my update.

No call from my lawyer yet.

This being a class 2 model I thought It would look fine
in white, Black or blue would be the one's they built.
But I don't think they will mind.
What do you think?

Ya know what, I think I'll break into my model stash. I have a Duster somewhere in the garage @ 1/24 scale.

Hey Mike, can I borrow the gasser engine when you upgrade for my Duster?

I think you would have to do some cutting to make the full blow hemi fit.
Its a tall one. This old machine has a single coil old school.
All the old sponsors stickers are on.:headbang:
I have had enough for tonight. Treva likes the time I spend on it!!
It keeps me out of here hair,
and I have found out I still have a steady hand.:coffee2:
I think a Sox and Martin early A would be a nice one to do next if I can find one.

Bro gave me a camera and check this out!!!
it will zoom in on a @#%^& hair. :headbang:

Looking good so far Mike, keep up the good work on it. Looking forward to seeing it done.

Me to bud! :angel7:I started the chassis work and got the ladder par's and rear shock's on.

I am going to the DMV tomorrow and get the 63 valiant tittle in my name.
So I will call it a night. I am pooped.:bear:

Mike the willys is looking good! I don't think I have the patience to do models anymore.I did one a few years back and it was tough.Hell come to think of it building a real car is tough too.I just got started on my 67 Dart Straight Axle Gasser, this is probably going to be my last car to build.I am just getting TOO OLD and the old HEART is like a V8 with 4 spark plug wires pulled off. I was out engineering some front suspension the other day and after about 4 hours of tinkering I had to rest for two days! Going tomorrow to get some tubing for modifying the front frame. My motto is I GOT TO GET HER DONE! Hopefully by summer if everything goes well she will be running and driving at least. Good luck tomorrow at the DMV Mike.

Thank's 1969340dart!!:thumleft:
I know what you mean,
I did all the sheet rock finishing here with my wives
help and after a few hour of it I had to put my
blades and pan down for a couple days,
Small steps but I GOT HER DUNE.
Thanks for your kind words and advice sir.O:)
