I know....but 8 years in and the switch i purchased is still working well....
customer service is good. Adverts, well, i just put that down to it being American stuff for American purchasers...
The old borax salesman approach is strong with the US aftermarket...
always happy to sell you the wrong thing for the job... but in this case the product has lasted 8 years of the the manufacturers 1971 10 year life span of the car...
Yes as a switch it gets little use... i know.... car used just in the summer when its not dark early enough to use the lights...
been a customer of the american car mags since my teenage years....pages and pages of bullshit advertising...

If you were into VW Bugs the hot ticket was the Bosch 009 all centrifugal distributor. if you believed the adverts and the reviews....
with one of these you got rid of the troublesome vacuum advance
you got rid of the retarded timing on cylinder 3 (keeps it cool next to the oil cooler)
and the motor will perform so much better...
all the racers you, know and love,use these genuine german made distributors...
ok so pocket money invested, and the acceleration and fuel consumption was worse and i now had a flat spot that i could not tune out by fiddling with my dellortos....
quickly became apparent that the 009 was just a "jack of all trades and master of none" replacement for 40 years worth of bosch OEM part numbers with unique vacuum advance cans, covering 1100CC to 2000CC engines
if i ran at 5000 rpm all day, at 34 BTDC i'm sure it would have been great
but i just needed to get to school quicker.

so if i think the customer service will be good or I'm pretty sure it will be, and the product works, i'll suggest it.
even if the advert says this light switch will cause greater current flow to the rear lights
therefore switching them on will make you faster due to the recoil effect of firing out loads more photons....
you know i'm not daft... the front will be on as well and cancel out the effect.
i can see their ploy....
and of course we have loaded up the alternator.......
