So I have a 73 dart sport that I have been trying to get a 73 360 with a 727 attached. I am having an issue getting the engine and transmission in correctly. The first issue I am having is that the starter is sitting on the pitman arm which a mini starter should fix. Next is the trans, no matter what I do I can not get the mount to go into the crossmember, This one I'm not sure how to fix. I appreciate any help

Looks like the whole thing needs to go forward but it looks like the engine is already on the front side of the mounts. Wrong transmission mount?

Are those some type of conversion mounts? By the looks of the trans mount the whole thing needs to go forward have you swapped sides with the engine mounts?

I don't think those are the right motor mounts...
The only time you need to use spacers on the mount ears is if you're using a 318 bracket on a 340/360- and it's only needed on the driver's side. The passenger side requires no spacers as the 318 and 340/360 brackets are identical.
Yet you have spacers on both sides... Are those even smallblock mounts? Looks like they're locating your engine too far to the rear and too low. A standard Mopar starter will fit with no problem, should not require a mini starter at all- Chrysler built hundreds of thousands of them that way with no issues. Same with the Pitman arm.
Get the proper motor mounts and everything should bolt right up.
(By the way, that is a smallblock K frame and not a slant 6 K, right? You didn't say...)
And just for clarification, these are the mounts-

Per the vin it was a 318 car. And these are A2326 and a2325 mounts. Are they not correct?

They don’t look correct to me. 3642813 for the 340/360 Left side and
3642810 For the right for 318/340/360.

The part numbers come as correct for the car. But that spacer- if it was on the other side your engine would come forward an inch or so, right?

maybe I'm not seeing it right- I can look at my car later.
Not uncommon to get wrong part in box from Rock-auto....that's a fact

You have old biscuit mounts and you need 73 and up spool mounts as post #10 shows.

"Just me" but I would not pay 250 bucks for what amounts to ONE "correct" mount. You can shim the 318 mount, it will work fine.

From the 73 service manual, engine section (9) You may? have them swapped left to right. They should have the part numbers stamped on them. These should be factory mounts, and should be available through parts stores. The only ones I know of commonly available are for a 318 and do need to be shimmed on the one ear on the driver side mount engine ear

This

1973 Dodge Dart Parts | Engine | Engine Mounts | Classic Industries

shows # 2325 as right side (passenger) and 2326 as LH (drivers) "V8" They show these fitting both 318 and 360 which is "not quite" true. They will work if you bend the driver side ear or shim it with spacer/ washers

Yes needs the 1973 Dart 360 Spool Mount engine mounts:
(The mounts on the car now are pushing the engine back 3/4" too much.)

These are the mounts you need, can use the part numbers here to help you locate a set.

Maybe a pic from the side would help here. If they're not swapped side to side. What was the original motor in the car? VIN would be "G" for a 318.
