@missing linc and @Ahoey (and some others in Winnipeg that have slipped my mind right now): Hope you guys are safe.
Ok out here in Southern Alberta thus far. I was just reading about the situation in Northern Manitoba, plus the Whiteshell area in eastern Manitoba/Northwest Ontario.@missing linc and @Ahoey (and some others in Winnipeg that have slipped my mind right now): Hope you guys are safe.
Somehow I connected you and Winnipeg in my head. Due to the Jets, maybe? Anyway, glad to hear you’re still ok, as it would really suck to have to evacuate on your birthday.Ok out here in Southern Alberta thus far. I'm originally from Winnipeg, thats probably why.Somehow I connected you and Winnipeg in my head. Due to the Jets, maybe? Anyway, glad to hear you’re still ok, as it would really suck to have to evacuate on your birthday.
Yeah, we were eating some of that bad air **** earlier today as the air quality index was “up there”. Thankfully the wind picked up and pushed it out a bit….I'm originally from Winnipeg, thats probably why.
Out in southeast Alberta today, Medicine Hat specifically and it's a fair bit smoky today.
Sucks, but you do what you gotta do to deal with it and stay safe, I guess.
Agree.Sucks, but you do what you gotta do to deal with it and stay safe, I guess.
And as much as it sucks for those of us that live “downwind “, I keep telling myself that we’re only “affected”, and not “involved”…..
Best of luck to all who are “involved”.
Nice! That just became a bookmark on my phone here, thank you!
Same here. We finally had a half day of rain here and it had a negligible effect on the smoke in the air. Amazing how far it travels. I remember small amounts of volcanic ash landing here and the yellow sky's back in 1980 when Mt. St. Helen's let go. That's over 2000 miles away.Which is really odd, as it’s raining right now, and one would think the rain would “scrub” the air
Yikes! We are at 129 here and outdoor activities aren't recommended. I might wear a mask. I have to mow the lawn. It is way too long!Don’t think I’ll be doing much outdoors today.
