What's the deal with people being jerks around here lately? No need to flame this dude - he's got a Mopar, he just thought people might beinterested in seeing one of his other projects. It's all in good fun to rib eachother about the brand "x" cars every one in a while - God knows I wouldn't own one - but have some respect for a fellow FABO member here. no need to be mean spirited.

Quite frankly, that's the type of responses I'd expect to see from.... well... Chevy guys.

I wonder the same thing. I kind of liked seeing a Vega even thou it isn't Mopar but still,give the guy some slack. My first car was a '75 Monza coupe with a factory 262 V-8 and a 4 spd. and wished I kept it. I love my Mopar's but I still respect other brands muscle cars too.

Shawn, you are absolutely correct. It is a shame that any car nut would downgrade your Vega. I like what I saw and what I heard. I am not crazy about the noisy gear drive but if that is what you like, great. You are also correct that a Ford or Chevy cost about 20-30% less to build than our beloved Mopars. I have been a Mopar Man since I got back from Nam in 1968 and bought my first Mopar, a '68 383 Road Runner. Forty one years later I still have and love Mopars but I appreciate all the great cars I see out there and know that their owners love them as much as I love my Mopar. I guess I truly just like CARS, FAST CARS, best. That is why my son and I are building a 1994 Fox body that we hope to be at 1325 hp at the end. My son has a ton of money in it so far, but it is still a ton of money less than we would have in a Mopar. Love your car and I hope it put brown in your shorts. :cheers:

Thats about what I expected ;), i love any car that has class and packs some power. any how I JUST finished welding up the K-frame on my Dart I'm gonna cut out the original exhaust, install my new dual kit and most likely drop in the motor, shoud be done by midnight!!!!!

Yeah she's about 3 years in the making, still have a lot of work to do, thinking about tubing it out then going ladder bar and puting a single race bucket in between the tubs,still want a rear seat hehe. At this point n time its all about the Dart so the Vega is on the back burner for a bit!!.

It is more expensive cause it's worth it. We all know that 350s are cheap to get power from, yet we all paid to own at least one mopar project. It is like saving up for that super cool toy you wanted when you where a kid. You Have to do it. I am not calling you a POS for posting a Vega, all I am saying is there is thin ice under chevy's here in a place clearly TITLED "For A-Bodies ONLY" so we all expect you to understand that.

I love fast cars too, but I am not gonna go out and buy a 12 second Honda for 10Grand. It would feel cheap and tacky. Like a Fat Girlfriend, Nervous to be seen with. I personally would rather dump that 10G into my all original 67 Dart GT with #s matching 273 4 Barrel. It is a pride thing, it's what makes me happy!

One thing that is a turn OFF is that you have a Whole slough of Chevy's on your signature and the dart is just in the middle. I recommend putting it at the TOP! Will save you some Greif. So it looks like you marched right into the middle of a MOPAR Camp waving a Chevy Flag and then saying, "Why don't you guys wanna be my friend?" Bad form. I can tell from your newer posts that you are a good hard working young car enthuziast just like me who is in LOVE with a Dart too! So that is how you should try to look in here.

It's like wearing a bowtie to a country bar. Get a bowlin tie or something. You gotta change your Loyalty if you want us to take you in whole heartedly.

I said a couple weeks back that I would want to put a Duster body on a Skyline chassis to build an Absolutely unstoppable Super-Freak AWD Mopar look street/track machine. I was eaten alive. Those are my FAVORITE 2 cars EVER! (I like the Twsties)

I have posted tons of stuff about my car and my project I am working on with it right now. It doesn't get half the attention though for some reason. I have caught a lot of flack for some of my Zaney ideas and just tried to defend my honor. I see know how tacky that can look and promise to knock off the "whining". I have Offered what I know. (Only about 273 Commando and /6s) I have asked for what I want. a Road hugging set-up for the Cali mountians and all that is undermined by my lame attitude sometimes. You are right I am as green as they come around here and still have plenty of learning to do. For that I have come to the right place I know. I feel like an *** but that is ok I am young and will forget about it one day... I signed up here for advice on my car, which is so rare that it is hard to get what I need anywhere... Including here. Oh well I am putting my nose to the grindstone now. Forgive me or not I will try harder to behave...

Eh hey it happens, that just comes with the territory I reckon! I just have a lot of pride in any car i build and I like to share any of which with my auto forums, I brag about my dart all the time on my H-body forum-(the vega) I understand what all the grief was about and dont entirely blame some of the guys for it just for one wish they could have handled it more appropriately and for two checked to see my other thread chocked full of pics of my 74 Dart and the engine I just finished building for it lol.

All is well though no feelings were hurt I wasnt even offended I was just upauld at the way things were bing said, I just thought it was a rather crappy -(for lack of a better word) way for this great forum to be represented!.
