Hood lock suggestions

I just leave my keys in the car 24 /7. It is in a locked alarmed attached garage that the door can't be opened from the outside because of the pad locks in the door rails though. As far as locking my hood I have had my car since 1981, and the only time it is outside that I am away from it is at a few local cruise nights a year, hell I refuse to use wheel locks either

Here is a Remote Hood Latch assemblies that came off a 75 Valiant. Pretty sure the Beak cars 73 to 76 had them, might need to modify just a tad for the earlier hoods. Should bolt up to the core support, latch support bracket though.

And I can tell you from personal experience that when the ball comes off the end of the cable, that system is a beotch to get around.
