How many forum participants out there have cars with the original drivetrain? (or an identical replacement). It is my observation most people on this forum have modified cars. This is my unmodified 1973 Swinger with 318 V8. I took it out of mothballs these past two years with a lot of help from this forum. Post a picture of your unmodified A body Mopar.

I have 2, 72 darts and one 70 dart.
One of the 72s is original, the 70 is original and the other 72 has had 5 different engine/drivetrain combinations in it. The original ones won’t stay that way. I am not a restorer or numbers guy by any stretch. Nice car btw

My grandmother bought it new in May 1975!

LOL............1971 Demon. Original 340 drive train. Not much original sheet metal left before the retoration though! :)

Vixen originally came with a 170. Although I have a warmed up 225 in her now, I still have the original 170 on a dolly in the shop. It's in excellent condition. She still retains all the rest of her original drive train from the transmission back.

My 1975 Duster. This pic is taken 2 day after I got it home about 1 month ago. It is a /6, auto that I was originally planning on replacing but I am now seriously considering building up the /6 just to keep the original numbers matching bragging rights.

My numbers matching 340 standard bore X head intake to oil pan is sitting in corner of my garage and numbers match 727 sitting in my basement if out of the car counts. Original 741 323 sure grip sitting in dry storage too. Will any of that ever go back in car while I am alive probably not....

I do have a 74 Scamp with the leaning tower, but that ain't saying much

It turned into way more money and trouble that "I thought." The irony is I've hated vinyl tops since I was young. I figured this had some rust under that top, but it turns out it had to have a whole new top. Found a 69 HT hulk, not much left of it, and had a guy about 50 mi N of here change the top and paint the upper body

I STILL do not have the interior together, as the glass co. screwed the pooch pumped it full of junk sealer, ruined the new gaskets. I'm going to have to pay someone to remove and clean the glass (I did it last time) buy new gaskets, and hope to find someone who knows WTF they are doing. I should have taken them to small claims

Mine is! 170, and runs smoothly. Extra 159hp from the Diet Mountain Dew. Just need to replace the front frame rails due to rust, then finish front suspension/disk brakes, and electrical.

I have three. The 66 Valiant which was my first post-retirement Mopar. It's a slant with three-on-the-tree. 126,000 miles.

Next is the 82 D150, found from a .org member a hundred miles away. It's a slant with an 833OD. 59000 miles.

Last is my latest acquisition, a 72 Coronet wagon. It's a plain jane 318 2-barrel, 727. 57000 miles.

All three of these are untouched, all-original survivors from the factory. The Valiant is set for a complete rebuild and update on everything you can't see from the outside. The truck has been a frustrating experience rebuilding the engine but everything else on it is going along well. The wagon is the best running of the bunch, it really needs nothing but to be cleaned up and given a thorough freshening to make sure it's roadworthy.

Oh, and if you want to count rusted out junker parts cars, I have four of those too that are all original. When you have elbow room, it's easy to add another to the fleet. Just Sayin...

1971 duster twister. Numbers matching 3rd owner. I did a full rotisserie restoration

One engine swap with another 318 but other than that it’s pretty much all original.
72 Swinger 318/904 two barrel, single exhaust.
Runs and drives great, and I would drive this car anywhere.

70 Dodge Challenger 340 that's all numbers matching with mostly original date coded stuff. It's in a zillion pieces!

69 Dart GT convertible that's an all numbers matching 273/904 car. All together and been sitting on the same jack stands in the basement for 25 years....waiting its turn for restoration.

I have three Mopars with the original drivetrain, only one of which is an A body, and it's apart.

69 Cuda 383 4-speed, Idaho car, had to replace the inner fenders, the fenders and the hood because of rust. Also have a patch on the passenger side front frame rail. Amazingly, though, the floors and trunk floor are all rust free. Numbers matching engine and transmission; original bellhousing and 3.23 open rear.

67 Hemi Charger. Only rust was lower inside of trunk lid, due to leaking Charger medallion. Hood was replaced because Dad cut a hole in the hood for a scoop. (Took me years to find a good replacement hood.) All other sheet metal is original. Original engine, transmission and original rear end except I replaced the original 3.23 sure grip chunk with 4.10. The original 3.23 chunk is now in my 64 Polara convertible. Except for the rear gear and the wheels/tires (and TTI exhaust), all stock, although I have rebuilt the engine (with a factory 68-69 cam), trans and front suspension.

56 Plymouth Belvedere club coupe. Original, unrebuilt 277 poly, factory power pack (four barrel and dual exhaust, 200 gross hp), original Powerflite trans (gone through by me when I broke the rear band, but clutches are original) and original rear end with 3.54 gears. Just over 50,000 actual miles. Carb is a 500 Edelbrock, but I have the original WCFB carb and original oil bath air cleaner. Only other deviations from stock are the wheel covers (but I have the originals), electronic ignition and glass pack mufflers. Oh - and the driver's side rear view mirror. And the 15x6.5 wheels. Had some kind of Ford radiator in it when I got it, but found an original 56 Plymouth radiator and put it in. I do have a pair of six-leaf HD rear springs ordered to replace the mushy four-leaf stock springs.

I also own a 49 Dodge Wayfarer with a D30 (Coronet) motor instead of the original D29 (Wayfarer) motor. Same engine, though, for either model, but not original.

My 64 Polara convertible has a 64 383 block, but it's not the original block. Now with 440 crank for 434 cubes. Original trans, 66 Charger rear. 3.23 gears (see above).

My 65 Barracuda 4-speed has been 340 powered since the spring of 73. 8 3/4 rear. 3.23 gears,

My 67 Barracuda coupe was originally a slant six car, but has been 360 powered since 1991. Also 8 3/4 rear. 3.55 gears.

My 63 Valiant convertible still has a slant six, but it has a 65 block. The original block was cracked.

My 59 Dodge Coronet 2-dr hardtop (originally a 326 poly/Powerflite) has a 64 Chrysler 413 with a 62 Chrysler pushbutton Torqueflite. Rear is a 72 Barracuda with 3.23 sure grip.

Out of my 8 mopars, only two have their original drivetrain. One is a 71 swinger 318. The other is a 73 340 dart sport.

My matching numbers '71 Demon.
Original drivetrain : 198 ci engine, A230 3-speed on the floor gearbox and 7 1/4 rear end,
An Hamtramck made export model, 3rd owner & 78000km on the odometer.
