The reason i ask is because there is one 4-sale locally that needs restored and has a 67 Notchback parts car to go with it.
I haven't seen it just talked to the owner he says it's solid except for a rust hole on the lower qtr.,318 auto. he didn't say if it was original or not.
The notch is a parts car,he didn't say what kind of shape it's in only that it was also a 318 auto.
He told me what he wanted for the pair and that the price was negotiable.

I doubt if i will buy it just curious as to how rare and what it would be worth.

an original 67-s would have a 237 4bbl or a 383 in it. The 318 isnt correct for any 67 actually.

Thanks for your input Adam but that doesn't answer my question.
Are they rare?
What would it be worth approximately with the parts car?

I cant find a break down on S cars. there were 22,425 V8 fastbacks made in 67. I know I've seen the break down some were.

I would say if its restorable but needs a complete redo its worth atleast $2000-$3000

Formula S cars were not particularly rare. There were several thousand S car distributed between fastback, coupe and vert. The 383 4sd verts are the most rare.

There is a 68 Fastback 340 4spd Formula here in Arlington, he has 2 340s for it (one original, and one that's in it). I went to look at it, and it's in ROUGH shape... Guy is smoking crack, asking $7k for it:-?

I don't know how rare they are. But there was a time last summer, when I was close to having to sell my 69 Barracuda Fastback Formula S 383 4 speed car. He offered me $13,500, and the car doesn't even have 383 in it, does have a 4 speed. I don't know if he was smoking crack, but the only reason I kept it was because of the amount of money he offered.

67 273-4 Formula S - 5,352

So, not really rare by Mopar standards, but worth owning.
