So, I go to my friends house where I work on the Valiant at and he subtly asks me if I knew anyone who would be interested in a 64 Barracuda.
I say maybe....who has it?
Says one of our friends just acquired it for payment of rent unpaid last week. Has the title and all....last signed in 1975 when the renters Grandpa bought it. Drove it until 76 when something "happened" to the motor and they parked it...has sat since.

Car is complete, trim and all. Very straight car with some dent and dings in the rear quarters.
It's also a 273 4speed car and the interior is complete! Has the V8 emblems on the front as well. Color is silver and looks to be original paint but is fading with some surface rust. Interior looked red in the pics I seen. Gonna have my friend text me the pics and I'll post em when I get em.

Did they make a Formula S in 64? Are the V8 4 speed cars rare in 64?

I can get the car possibly for a great price.....the guy he got it from said it's worth around $5000, but my friend thinks he can get maybe $1000 for it. Already had a $700 offer but turned it down.
Will find out more soon, hopefully before he sells it.....which is what he wants to do because he has no interest in the car.

I may be able to convince the wife to let me buy it and hold it for someone who may want in from here, we'll see though. I'm gonna go try and see the car in person here in the next day or so.

Formula S was not an option till 1965, not sure how rare the 4-speed is but definetly is worth more and cooler :glasses7:

Arrgh, I have pics now but can't upload them cuz they're too big and I don't know how to resize them!! Can I send them to someone who can resize them and post them up??

Couldn't find a break down in numbers. Only total 20,700 made. They had 3 and 4 speeds for the 273. I'm guessing not many 4 speeds were made. Wish I could help with the pictures. I would love to see them.

Open them with paint.
Pull down the image menu and choose resize/skew.
Try 40% on the first two boxes, leave the skew boxes alone.
Pull down the File menu and choose saveas, give it a new name so you don't overwrite your original file.
This should work with most photos.

THIS IS MY CAR, NOT THE CAR IN THE O.P.!

Looks like a great find! I would snag it.

Looks pretty good! Definitely a good find.

Yep grab it! V8 4 speed and silver...great combo!!

Hell yeah......silver WITH A RED INTERIOR! That thing would be chained down to my trailer heading to my house in less than an hour! That's exactly how I like to buy my cars, I mean, in that condition, original paint and all.

I'd love to own that......

Just found out today the he sold the car to a friend's uncle for a measely $400!!!

Grrrr. He never said how much he wanted for it. If only I knew it was gonna be that friggin low!!!!

Go see if the guy who bought it wants to sell.
$400.00 is about scrap price.

Hey, aren't real barracudas silver on the outside and red inside? Things that make you go "hmmmmmm"......
