I counted my small block stash today.

-
(3) 170 Slantys
(4) 225 Slantys
(6) TurboI 2.2s
(1) Turbo 2.5 TE04H
(1) Voyager 2.5 Turbo('89)
(1) '90 ShelbyZ VNT 2.2
(1) 360 2bbl
(1) 318 2bbl
(1) 400
(2) 340s
(3) 440s
(5) 383s
(1) Olds 350 '71
I THINK that's all....
I guess I could throw in the KZ1100....
Wow!

I got rid of a few 360's and a couple big blocks.
Now just
1-340
1 la 360
1 89 roller la 360
1 Magnum 360
1 383 hp 71 magnum

Only 3 blocks stashed (SB, slant, M-B) and a few crankshafts, but much other "old junk" to wifey. Amazing how it turns to gold when you need it, and how you run out then another treasure hunt. But when you try to sell excess parts, even pristine collectibles at cheap price, it can take years to find a buyer.

A turbovan is the ultimate sleeper at the track.

The only block I want right now is a 48 degree Ritter aluminum small block. I don’t want to pay for the W-8 or W-9 heads to go with it is the problem.

After speaking with a shrink and a social worker they confirmed that since I am not on drugs and not in rehab and I am not an alcoholic that there is nothing wrong with me collecting Mopar parts.
I have Slant 6, 318, 5.2, 360, 5.9, 383, 413 and 440s the only thing I don't have that I would like to have is a Cummins and another 426 hemi and a 354 or 392.
But I do have a thing for collecting intake manifolds.

Intakes never turned me on and I’ve sold Chrysler part number LD340, W2 Victor, 440 weiand tunnel ram, Indy tunnel ram, 4 other 440 intakes, port o sonic small block intake, Torquer, and probably a couple more. I still have one B1 intake, two Victor340, super Victor, Indy big block.

Then sell it to somebody that will make good use of it. Kim

A clean garage is the sign of a sick mind.
Since you only cleaned half of yours you must be only half sick.

I thought I had a few blocks and engines laying around. A couple works in progress and a couple backup plans. This thread got me to count them and made me realize I have a problem. Maybe they should have meetings for this stuff.

Sometimes we find things we forgot we had. I have a 440 block that I didn’t count that a friend may take away. It’s the stock bore 440 (1971) that I think is an HP block. The junkyard idiot ya led it out with a high lift and tore a hole in the block. I was going to bring it down and weld a plate on it but I never needed it. His welder said he could repair it so that’s better than scraping it.

Very interesting thread. I have 0 blocks. I want to build an engine, then drop it in my 72 Scamp. The idea is (was ... really) to build a big inch small block. At least that's what my idea was. I'm nearing the point of retiring. And when I do, building an engine is going to be one of the things I will want to do.
