I did it again....

i played pretty heavly a couple years ago, I have a coupe 4 strings and a verry closely spaced 5 string. when i was in a metal band that didnt drop tune (mostly older metal , metallica ect) I used to tune the low string to an E so i had 2 E strings that i could play together on some of the heavy stuff. otherwise i was mostly playing my peavey 4 string at that time.
Now days I am doing production work, and spending my money on DJ and karaoke gear as i make decent cash doing those things. it isnt as "cool" as playing in a band but the cash is much better than most of my friends make and i dont have to argue with anyone about all the politics a band brings.

Nah........... THAT could never happen in a band! :^o

The guys I play with are pretty mellow (considering the heavy edge our music has....) and we're all "on the same page" so to speak. Hassle free so far, and I really can't see it ever getting ugly either. I used the 8 string yesterday at rehearsal and wow, what a sound! On certain songs it's a natural and fits like a glove. On other songs the 4 and 5 strings guitars sound better. But man, that Schecter SCREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!

And as for all the players who posted, nice to hear your out there. Having an FABO session would rock, but I'd be more content to have a BBQ and show-n-shine instead. It's easier to carry a cooler full of meat than an amp, speaker cabinent, effects board, and 3 guitars....THEN decide what to play!
