Soooo im in the process of building up my 72 Duster 440. Iv only had it a little less than a year and here lately i finally got around to doing some sergery on the engine after it took a dump on me a couple months ago. It aint street legal at the moment, use to be a drag car. No guages, no blinkers, no interior. i just popped the header andcylinder head off yesterday and from the looks of the cylinder walls its at least got 100grand on the block. (The good news) its got a nice looking set of 906 heads that show minimal usage from what i can see. I still plan on a 3 angle valve job and some hardened seats... maybe a port an polish too. :glasses7: but my question is, with such wear on the cylinder walls what would be the best NEW stoker kit to put in it?.. bramd wise that is.. i get that i wont know what size kit until i know exactly how much of a bore it needs and will get. i just havnt had any dealings with stroker kits before so im kimd of in the dark. I am going for minimal bore ( just as much as whats neccisary to smooth out the walls) but i want the best BANG for my buck basically! Im running a bone stock 727 reverse valve body and 8.75 rear so that should be plenty to hamdle whatever i can put on a factory block. Also my carb is being an ENORMOUS pain in the keaster..... its a holley double pumper on an edlebrock victor manifold. damn thing just dont want to tume right! Its old as dirt though. kind of wondering what everyone else is running on their 440 and if theres anything better yall have foumd from experiance to run on a stroked 440?
