In October 2009 we took a vacation to New York City. In view of recent events i thought i would share what i think are retrospective photos.
Statue Of Liberty, taken from the base of the statue on Liberty Island, we had crown reservations, awsome experience.
Inside the Crown, looking toward lower Manhattan
Pic of us inside the crown
View south of lower Manhattan from the top of the Empire State Building
Station 8 in the Villiage, same building used in Ghostbusters, they lost one fireman
10 House, "Still Standing" directly across from the World Trade Center, ironically, their symbol is a fireman stradling the two buildings with them on fire.
Backside of WinterGarden, between World Financial Buildings 2 and 3, it was pretty badly damaged. There is a marina right behind me. The WTC building would have been pretty much in front of it, across the street.
Freedom Tower, October 2009, 3 stories above the ground
11 Tears Memorial, for 11 American Express employees that died in the 95 Floor at Marsh And McClenan.
World Trade Center site. I was amazed that the whole area isnt very big
Sculpture that was in the plaza between the two towers, now in Battery Park
Memorial on side of 10 House
Engine 54 "Pride of Midtown" 8th Street, they lost 15 Firemen
Just thought i would share
