Installing a Tuff steering wheel, Question

I want to put a Grant tuff steering, #846, wheel on my 70 Duster. The wheel has a 1 3/4 in dish. Besides the #3314 adaptor, will I need a spacer to keep the turn signal lever away from the steering wheel.

Yes you need a spacer. Grant sells one but I think you can also use the factory tuff wheel adapter.

No the factory adapter cant be used as the wheel does not have the locating hole for the tab on the adapter

I put a grant tuff wheel (forget the part number) right onto a stock adapter. In my opinion the stock adapter looks tons better then the grant adapter.

I have a stock steering wheel on the Duster now. Is the rim bow you speak of on the set up I have now?, (Floor shift) do I need something else? With this rim bow, I will not need the Grant 3314 adaptor? I want to make sure I have everything I need.

Have a picture of exactly what you have?


A wooden rim blow adapter will work with a tuff wheel.

I did not use a spacer. Just bent the turn signal lever some.
