Do I absolutely need the intake manifold heat crossover, or can I block it? What is everyone's take on that. I'm getting a new Edelbrock intake, and wondering if I block it or not. I live in So. California. Thanks

Block it! a lot of aftermaket manifolds don't even have them. I think FelPro makes a gasket set that blocks it off. Don't forget to get rid of the valve in the exhaust manifold...
some industrial intakes are water heatedI have a couple of NOS intake manifold gasket sets from Chrysler. They do not have the hole for heat crossover. Can it for for marine or industrial use?
Mine does and x over door is always shut.. If you have a mechanical choke it will never open fully
