Indy/ModMan intake for magnum
3 different tops
Single 4
2 4's
Six pack
He’s looking for a dual plane intake on the initial post.
Just a FWIW, Indy also has a cast monster sized single plane intake for the Magnum engine.

Which works great on my pro-junk yard 360 magnum engine in my 96 dakota sport race truck. Which also doesn't seem to lack any low end torque. But the op said he didn't want a single plane intake. So my post is moot

You race the truck right?
What size cam and rear gear ratio?

As it turns out, I will NOT be getting the MP crate 360. We decided to forget trading engines so I'm sticking with the 1990 LA series Roller 360 build.

The cam is a comp 555 solid lift that is 260 at 0.050 . I am also useing 1.6 roller rockers. Gears are 4.30 and am racing on a M/T 295/65/15 et street R tires. The most exotic thing about the engine is the trickflow heads.lol the engine has KB107 pistions, but the crank, rods are stock. And the compression came out to 11.1 and I race it on pump gas. I am guessing the dakota weighes around 3200/3400 with me in it. I think the truck would run a very low 11 or high 10 second pass with a better converter and a better tuner. Lol best passes so far has been a 11.20 at 116.8 in the 1/4 and a 7.12 at 96.8 in the 1/8 mile. This engine has been shifted between 6500/7000 it's whole life and has been raced of and on going on 7 years. I put a ported tunnelram and 2 650 edelbrock AVS2 carbs on it
But the last time I was messing around with it. I noticed it was getting some blow by. The poor engine needs a refresh very bad. But I ended up pulling the 360 magnum out before Christmas, so I can get ready to put in my 650/700 HP stroker gen3 hemi.

I had Mike at B3 racing drill the indy intake for LA bolt pattern. He is the one I got the heads, prw rocker arms and Smith brother push rods from. Also I found a guy wanting to sell the magnum indy intake that was needing money. So I bought it brand new for $350 shipped. Of course that was 7 years ago. Damn parts have went up in proce$$$ a lot sense then. Lol

That’s pretty cool in my book.
What does the converter stall at?

Nice price on the Indy intake though I think it’s out of Kerndogs parameters. I generally will lay on wait to snipe a part inexpensively. It’s the only way I can get it done really. Even more so with current conditions.

Damn I just looked and the 360 magnum intake is now $ 1000. Thsts crazey. But thanks. It's a fun truck to race with and runs pretty good for what the engine is. Lol I haven't ran it for 2 years because of health reasons. But the best I can remember the stall is around 4500-5000

No they’re just shy of $500 where are buying them from. I just sold mine for $325 to a fellow member.

This car I have is not a drag racer.

I only have the deep gear because I like driving it off road on trails sliding around like them Duke boys did. Driving a V8 RWD car off road is a blast....I don't want a setup that only runs hard at higher rpms.

Ahh...that made me smile!! My first car was mom's old tired 68 Charger (383 auto)... and all the dirt/logging/BLM/forest service roads of Southern Oregon were a BLAST!! I pimped out the engine with tons of chrome- that lasted only a few months and I put all the stock goodies back because I couldn't keep it clean!!
Sure wish we'd of had video cameras then... my best friends drove a 66 Mustang, and a 73 Mach 1... and we all played Duke boys in the woods... of course, neither could keep up!!

Some of the guys in snow country love to recall stories of spinning and drifting around in snow covered parking lots.
Out here, it is dirt roads and trails. It isn't as cold and you don't accidently hit curbs hidden in the snow.

I run the Professional product intake on my 5.9 with Aussie EQ Heads. I gasket matched the intake (minor) and I did have to hog out the intake bolt holes slightly. No issues. I run an LA front with factory AC. I drilled and tapped a boss on the intake for the AC mount.
I purchased another one (Speedmaster) for my future LA build.

One thing I noticed about many (all? Not sure)
Of the hong kong phooey intakes available new currently is that looking down thru the carb mount flange, they all look like a washboard on the the intake floor. That can't be good. Lots of places for fuel to puddle.

Most aluminum dual plane intakes (hong kong phooey or not ,old or new ) have this "washboard" on the floor. And it is good.

The ribs on the floor may collect some fuel. However, the ribs on the floor have shown to help keep fuel in suspension and will also allow fuel to be reintroduced off the floor when the engine is running.

When the engine is running it will pull air across the floor and pick up the fuel.

Which I thought had a rep as a pretty good one as I remember?
Yes it does and I agree that it is a good intake but, BUT!!!
Remember that it’s just an aluminum copy of a stock intake. This is telling you that the stock intake was a good performer. However… HOWEVER….. the MP engine book did say that a switch to the newer TQ spreadbore intake will net 10+ HP better.
