Forgive my ignorance but can someone explain to me what an inverse radius cam lobe is?

It's a roller cam thing. The flank coming off the base circle has a very slight, but visible curve in the opposite direction. It is very hard on valvetrains.

If it has tits, it's a liabilititty.

With that much change in momentum on the lifter, youll probably need some very good springs.

You need LESS spring
1 inverse radius can give more reliability at the same area under the curve
or 2 the same reliability (springs etc)with more area
the ir gives the designer time to set the valve down easy with less chance of bounce
or 3 more effection duratio and area ith same seat timing
for street pick 1
