What is a fair price for a set of J heads.
They would need to be Checked and redone.

Yes they are and hardened seats.

really!? damn. i have a set of J's and X's both with 2.02 valves. may have to sell those bitches if they really bring that much.

Wow in Chicago there about $100 to $150 ! BTW i would rather pay more for used 1.88 size heads than 2.02, when you do the v/j and open it up to a 2.02 size the valve sits nice and high, on heads that are original 2.02 they may have had a few v/j's and when you redo them with the same 2.02 size the valve starts to sink in the head hurting flow.

Put seats on the intake side and the valve sits high again, real high.

$50-$100. Tops. even with 2.02s. In the process of redoing them, any intake valve can be used for no more money. Assume when buying used heads of any kind that they will ned new exh seats, all guides, valves, guides cut, spring seats cut, and new retainers and locks and seals. Price accordingly.
