Daredevil I guess I analyze and report and treat the turds as they go by, wastewater is my life! Chief Chemist and assistant wastewater superintendent. The sound of flushing is job security. The only brown trout I want to catch in the river are the ones you can eat. Wastewater treatment has it's own sense of humor, most of it would get me banned. Most of us are trough feeding public servants, however we do provide an important service and protect the environment.

Federal employee since 1987; prior to that, Pa. State Police Trooper from 1980-1987.

I'm another Fed civil servant, buying and managing property, lands, and rights of way for the Dept of the Interior. 30 years there plus time-out for a few years doing the same for a big utility company, Army time, etc. I'm intrigued by all the RR folks who responded; always loved trains, always thought working for the RR would be cool! Now I know where to go for tips on getting a job! Would love to put your pic up in the garage, but wife wouldn't like and can't afford another divorce [:)

Last 4.5 years I was active duty Army. M1A2 Abrams Armor Crew member. Sgt E-5.

Been out for 5 months, and I'm still collecting unemployment...lame...I know...wish I had a job..still don't know what I want to do...maybe be a CHP..

Industrial Electrician/Licensed Electrical contractor - semi retired. (stopped for a while to smell the roses). Wife and I bought a 100 year old house to restore. You think old cars are expensive to restore? Ha!!

Used to be a crane operator, then became an industrial and commercial superintendent, then a project manager. No work for 14 months. Don't know what is next, maybe take 1/2 pay, and use my statewide inspector license and find a government job.

To all the other people laid off: stop and think. If you have brains to figure out how to restore, and keep all this old, tired Mopar stuff on the road: we can get a job. We are smarter than the chebby guys. 8)

Good luck to everybody.
