I'm pretty sure I couldn't get photos of everything even if I took days to try. I got the impression that a few people were a bit skeptical when I described my Dad's place so it took a few photos for everyone. this isn't in the for sale section so it's not meant to be a menu, as the title says just a taste, an appetizer if you will.
so let's get started, how many photos can I post per post? let's find out!

See what happens when i leave you two alone for five minutes!! so much for the secret stash!!:axe:

Neat stuff but I'm just curious, does he sell it or is he going to restore it all some day, whats the point? I have seen stashes like this before and it is pointless.

I agree with J.R. I've been watching a show called Hoarders on cable. All the cool stuff in the world does nobody any good if it's crammed into your garage or buried under a pile of hubcaps.

Lots of cool stuff there.
It looks a lot like my brother's place. We are slowly organizing it to get the good stuff out of the weather. My advice to you is to do the same or in 10 years a lot of it will be worthless.
I watch hoarders too on t.v. and i agree with them to a point....I think the best way to approach this is to purge the obvious junk/scrap, and then organize and store properly the good stuff and ether sell what you don't need or trade for what you do and finish a few projects. This is a lot different than rotting food in the house with bugs, disease, filth, etc.
I myself am still getting rid of cars, parts, etc that i will never use. i sell them to just cover my costs so they don't get crushed and at least someone gets some use out of them.
The state doesn't care if it's a max wedge crossram or a worthless 9 1/4 housing, they would want it scrapped regardless, and if they send a clean up crew there.....it'll all go to the scrapper regardless of what anyone says.
Forewarned is forearmed.
Thanks for sharing the pics with us, and good luck to you and your dad. I love the parts ****!
Tom.

MAN! I loooooove that first picture of the Chrysler 300. NIVE! REAL NICE! I want one of those one day. A great looking car.
I could really use that!

Dam that's what I call your own parts catalogue.

You need someone to sort it all out and make an inventory. buy a couple of big sheds, stack and store it all nice.

It'll probably going to take you all weekend.

hell if my dad had all this cool stuff i would never have left home very col stuff and it his to do with what he wants

I was gonna say it is a damn shame that stuff has to sit outside but then I seen the pics of what is inside, sweet!! Love the D500 and the x-ram motor! Is that for the 63 Fury? Cool pics, thanks for making everyone jealous!

Your Dad should not ever complain about $$ He has alot of stuff there everyone would be glad to buy.

It,s sad to see so many soute for pieces sitting in the elements, time to start thinning the herd!He has some amazing stuff, but looks like they,ve been sitting for years and may be headed for the pile.Way cool pics.!

ok ill take a 340 block to start off with and then i will have a few carbs some doors the console and as desert i will take the big block with the ram intake my total will be? lol

Seriously dude u gotta help him get that stuff straightened out quick. I thought I was bad. No offense but theres some good stuff just goin to wate here.

Man I thought my Grandfather packed ratted a lot of good items but this is ridiculous. There is a lot of good stuff there just sitting out in the elements.

jeesh! you guys act like we live in a swamp and the parts are rusting away! it rains here like less than 2" per year, nothing rusts.
my Dad knows exactly what he has and what it's worth. he's been gathering this stuff since the '70's. from the time I was small there were cars around. a lot of the stuff there now is different stuff from when I was little. people come around all the time looking for stuff and usually leave with it. a few years ago he sold 2 '70 Challenger convertibles, and 2 '70 Challenger 440 6-pak cars. around that time he sold 2 '67 Cuda 383 cars. when I was young he had 22 Barracudas from 1964 through 1973. he still has 2 '70 Barracudas around. the Max Wedge in the garage is for the '63 in the photo. he's in the process of making a deal for a '63 Dodge High compression Max Wedge Polara 500. there's also a photo or 2 of a set of Max wedge pistons and the standard bore 426 block with the R-2 on it that will go in the Polara if he gets it. there are a couple of Max wedge heads under the bench somewhere for it.
I posted some time ago that a lot of the 383's and 318's etc were going to go and everyone wrote wanting 340's. since then several blocks have indeed gone to the scrap heap. shipping is going to be too hard so someone local might be able to get something he could use. lots of the fenders, hoods and doors are going to go.
I'm surprised no one mentioned the Hemi Cuda hood with scoop. there are a ton of things I didn't get photos of like the pile of 3 sets of long ram intake tubes in the garage.
My Dad does hoard a bit but he will sell or trade. it's not going to waste or rotting away.

a bit on the Polara and Belvedere, My Dad bought the 1958 Belvedere in 1961 from the local Plymouth dealer, and the 1960 Polara from the local Dodge dealer in 1964. the engine has never been out of the 1960, some stuff has been done however, the Belvedere has a 1959 Chrysler 300 413 dual quad engine and the 350 dual quad big block is again in the garage. when he had the Plymouth repainted, he put the 413 in it since it was a running engine and the 350 needed work.
aside from my Dad and Mom, I'm the only person who has driven the 1960 Polara since they bought it in 1964, 2 years before I was born, so you get an idea of his feelings about that car. it's going to be a hard day when my 2 brothers, 2 sisters and I have to come into our inheritance, there are so many memories in both cars from our childhoods. in 1969 the family drove to Dayton Ohio and back to California in the 1960, it was the family car for years, and yes though thin now that is the original paint.

I noticed the hood but I didn't think it was anything but a cheapo Hemi scoop on a hood. Is it special?

actually I think the hood is off a 1969 440 Cuda my Dad had for a while I think the scoop is fiberglass but has been on it since the mid '70's at least. in the hallway in the house though is an original '63 aluminum Max Wedge scoop!

I could really use the pool ladder in picture #52. I think it would be an easy resto with a new wooden top. Vintage all the way.
OK OK OK, I could use some of the car parts too. But, I figured I'd start my wish list out small.
