Just got rear-ended: 61 Lancer 770

Hey, as the title implies, I just got it. No fun, actually...but I am going to post pictures soon. What I would like to know from you guys is if you think the rear end is still salvageable. It appears the the rear fenders need to be hammered back and the bumper is kinda verkackt, but overall, it's kinda kosher. Some of the sheet metal in the trunk popped out and I might have lost a tool or two, but I am not concerned about that now. Tomorrow, after I am done being raving mad about this, I will put up some pictures.

I'm going to send them to a great mechanic as well, but I want to make sure that I don't get hosed by the insurance company of the driver who caused it.

Also: If you know of any 61 Lancers out there for sale, let me know! If it's not repairable, I want another!

I tried to upload some pictures, but it never took. Maybe there were too many? Well, there were only 6...at any rate, I sent some off to two body shops and the news is baaaaaad....the frame is bent up all nice and pretty like. I'd like to keep the car for parts, but I am unsure what the insurance will say. Surely they will do everything in their power to provide me with the minimal value of my car.

Argh...I love that vehicle and I want another.

I haven't seen one that couldn't bee fixed...glad your OK and if the insurance people give you a hassle that's wen its time for your back to start hurting.you will be surprised the money they come up with...........Artie
